Leaving Home

Accepting a job and relocating for it are two different decisions.

The contract made the first one official.

The bags being packed and my son helping me jam my car full with as many belongings I could fit made the second one real.

My family was staying in Victoria initially, which meant I would be building a working life in Perth without the people who normally made home feel like home.
